Flu
Please support Beaumont Lodge Medical Practice and the NHS and book for your seasonal flu vaccine is you are over 65, in a high risk group, a carer, or a worker within the care industry.
There is evidence that A&E services over the winter period will be to capacity and having your flu vaccination reduces the risk of admissions to a hospital.
Measles
Measles cases are surging across the country, fuelled by vaccine hesitancy over the MMR jab. There were 1,603 suspected cases of measles in England and Wales in 2023, new statistics from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) show. That’s up from 735 in 2022, and just 360 the year before.
